What makes an unforgettable trip even more memorable? Crossing the Mara River! We’re fortunate enough to have brought over groups for seven different safaris and, at long last, we were finally able to ride across the Mara River and ride up onto the escarpment.
The river was high so we had to swim across a small portion. But the horses were strong
and knew how to cross so, with feet held high, we followed our fearless leader, Gordie Church. The crew was ahead of us and had set up camp so that when we rode in, there were our tents ready for hot showers, drinks and a stunning view.
The view from there is amazing! Looking out over the vast lands below us, the Masai Mara stretches out to Tanzania. We were able to see the far distant hills where previous safaris began or ended. What an amazing view!
The Mara is a magical place where the game is plentiful, the views stunning and the people warm and friendly. Brad always says “the Mara knows what you need” and we find that our guests have no words to describe the experience.
The memories last a lifetime was we ride across open plains, past heard of zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and elephant.
