Description
SOFT – The most unstable/ offers the greatest comfort
The SOFT Pad yields to the weight of the horse and gives laterally allowing the horse to sink in rapidly. It is like presenting your horse with a pair of bedroom slippers. Comfort is acknowledged immediately.
The SOFT Pad has the most lateral give therefore it is not a good choice for nervous, panicky, or anxious horses, who need something more secure and ground-like to start such as the HARD or PHYSIOPAD.
Start with FIRM or HARD before progressing to the SOFT Pad. If your horse appears to be in discomfort, has sore hooves, and/or is walking in apparent pain (from causes other than soft tissue injuries) you may quickly progress to SOFT. However,
SOFT is not a good choice for soft tissue injuries due to the amount of instability this pad provides. If your horse has a soft tissue injury please consult your veterinarian before using SURE FOOT Pads with the injured limb.
